COMMITMENT – Providing Quebec with a real plan to keep our neighborhood businesses in our regions

As part of my tour of Abitibi-Témiscamingue, I announced my intention to produce a real plan to prevent closures and stimulate the establishment of neighborhood businesses that will truly meet the needs of Quebec’s regions.

People in rural areas should not have to drive 30 minutes to get basic goods. This is a matter of quality of life.

The plan I propose includes:

• Local elected officials having a real say;
• Funds allocated to businesses from the social economy;
• Much larger sums than currently available.
