COMMITMENT | We must protect our agricultural model

I have a plan to protect and grow Quebec’s agricultural model.

Our duty is to support Quebec’s farming families, protect this unique model, and give them the tools they need to look to the future.

Specifically, I propose to:

• Protect supply management — a solid foundation for our producers;
• Encourage local purchasing and local markets;
• Facilitate the next generation of farmers, whether within families or between entrepreneurs;
• Adapt our programs to today’s realities, such as climate change;
• Provide better mental health support on the ground;
• Give a real boost to greenhouse production.

I am also very proud to say that I can count on the support of Jean-Claude Poissant, a farmer, former Parliamentary Secretary for Agriculture and Agri-Food (2015-2019), and QLP candidate in La Prairie in 2022.
