A leadership race is an extraordinary opportunity for a political party
It’s a chance to mobilize supporters, attract new folks, question our methods and public policies. In short, it’s a chance to build for the future.
History tells us that leadership races can also be a source of division and conflict which can leave deep marks…
But history also teaches us that, since 1867, the Quebec Liberal Party has most often won the confidence of Quebecers, notably because of its leaders’ ability to unite all Liberals around ambitious goals to move Quebec forward. I am joining this leadership race determined to continue this long tradition.
A leadership race is a unique opportunity in the democratic life of a party. We must collectively ensure the true winner is the QLP.
– Pablo Rodriguez
My four commitments for this race
Be inclusive and unifying
Anyone who wants to get involved will have a role. Our team will be as big as the number of liberals who raise their hand!
Be positive
There is no room for personal attacks. They are useless and damaging. After this race, we’ll all have to work together in order to win in 2026!
Building for the long term
Our victory on October 5 2026 must be our priority. We can’t jeopardize that objective. Period.
Make the QLP the true winner
Whatever the results next June 14, we’ll have to unite behind our new leader and work together for the greater good of our party. June 14 will be the end of the leadership race and the beginning of our next chapter : the next general election.
